Chelsea manager Emma Hayes is to leave the Women’s Super League club at the end of the season.
Hayes will pursue “a new opportunity outside the WSL and club football”, said Chelsea.
The news comes after the Blues’ 6-0 victory at bottom club Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon, which sent them three points clear at the top of the WSL table.
The 47-year-old has been in charge of the Blues since 2012.
Hayes has guided Chelsea to six WSL titles, including four in a row, as well as five FA Cups and two League Cups.
In 2021 she led the Blues to the Champions League final, but they were beaten 4-0 by Barcelona in Gothenburg.
