A late Stina Blackstenius goal put the seal on a 3-1 victory for Arsenal over Bristol City in the Women’s League Cup.
Frida Maanum’s fierce strike cannoned in off the bar to break the deadlock on the half hour, with Lotte Wubben-Moy’s header doubling the lead minutes later.
Sille Struck hit back for Bristol on 72 minutes, though it did little to impact the final result.
Substitute Blackstenius scored late for the second game in a row to ensure the victory was beyond doubt.
Another bright spark of a dominant home win for Jonas Eidevall’s side was the return of Beth Mead to the starting line-up and Vivianne Miedema’s appearance from the bench, both working back to full fitness after recovering from ACL injuries.
Lionesses forward Mead provided the assist for the opening goal in her 60 minutes on the pitch.
