Judd Trump is into his third successive – and fifth overall – Champion of Champions final

Judd Trump held off a Barry Hawkins fightback to secure his place in the final of the Champion of Champions tournament.

The world number two won 6-3 to reach a fifth final of an impressive season, in which he is seeking a fourth title.

Trump, 34, looked to be breezing to victory as he raced into a 5-0 lead, only for Hawkins to rally by winning the next three frames.

But Trump got himself over the line by winning the next frame to go through.

It was the fifth time he has reached the Champion of Champions showpiece – doing so in 2014, 2019, 2021 and 2022 – and will face either Mark Allen or John Higgins in Sunday’s final.
